  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 8 oz noodles your choice: egg noodles, rice noodles, or soba
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook noodles: Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Make the sauce: In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  • Combine: Return beef to the pan, add noodles, and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.
  • Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, feel free to add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce if you like a bit of spice.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let it simmer a bit longer or add a cornstarch slurry.
  • This recipe works with any noodle you prefer, but egg noodles or rice noodles are the best options for this dish.
